Greysands Beach: Sea and Estuary

Greysands Beach situated at the far end of Westward Ho! Beach and around the northern and eastern side of the Northam Burrows. The beach itself  is on the Taw and Torridge Estuary and it is a great place to feel free and embrace nature.

Wild ponies wonder around the burrows and sheep are grazing freely.

The beach skirts around the Northam Burrows and strangely enough the Royal North Devon Golf Club.

The beach itself is quite pebbly and if you want to experience the view but maybe find walking on pebbles difficult you can walk along the edge of the country park and look down to a beautiful view.

Greysands beach seems to be visited more by locals so a bit more off the beaten track. The access road all the way to the main car park from the toll booth is quite often dotted with people sitting with chairs and a picnics. There are also a number of camper vans sitting watching the World go by.
