Ingredients

Cashew Pate

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 230 grams Cashew Nuts
  • 300 grams Mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke

Method

Mushroom Pate

Dry-fry the cashews until golden brown and set aside.

Heat the olive oil and fry the onions and garlic

Add mushrooms and fry

Add the soy sauce, liquid smoke, salt and pepper and fry until all moisture has gone.

Put cashews and mushrooms into a blender and pulse until it turns into a paste and refridgerate.
