Honeycomb

Ingredients

Crunchie Vegan

  • 100 grams Castor Sugar or Fine Brown Sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • 1.5 teaspoons Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 200 grams Dark Vegan Chocolate

Method

Vegan Honeycombe

Put the sugar and syrup into a saucepan

Place the pan on the heat and let the mixture first melt, then turn to goo then turn off the heat.

Add the bicarbonate of soda and mix well before pouring into the tin. The honeycomb will bubble up and turn this immediately onto a piece of reusable baking parchment

Leave it to set and cool for an hour and break into pieces

Melt the chocolate by placing it in a heat proof dish over a pot with boiling water at the bottom. Or microwave it to melt.

Roll the honeycomb crunchie pieces in the chocolate and refrigerate

NOTES

Be careful, as sugar gets very hot and can cause nasty burns.
