First Vegan Butchers -Sainsburys – World Meat Free Week

First Vegan Butchers for World Meat Free Week. Sainsbury’s have opened a three-day pop up plantbased vegan Butchers shop in Bethnal Green, London.

Everything looks like a conventional meat butcher at first glance. The animal-free products will be weighed and wrapped like a traditional butchers shop.

Made from things like mushrooms, jackfruit and even pea protein.

Why are Sainsburys expanding Plantbased Foods?

The reason behind Sainsbury’s decision to open the vegan butchers is due to the reported a 65 per cent increase in sales of plant-based products year-on-year.

This is just amazing figures of people thinking of reducing their meat consumption and move towards a plantbased diet.

This is highlighting how far vegan food has come over the years and its become more mainstream when supermarkets embrace and provide more options.

More and more people are being convinced to try meat alternatives to get involved for health, environment and animals.
